MSS Order Tagging ("the App") is a Shopify application that automatically applies tags to orders and customers in your Shopify store based on rules you configure. This policy explains what data the App accesses, why, and your rights over it.

Data we access and process

Store & order data (via the Shopify API): order and customer records are read solely to evaluate your tagging rules and to write the resulting tags back to Shopify. We request the minimum scopes needed: read/write orders and read/write customers.
Configuration data you create: the tagging rules you define, and minimal store identifiers (your .myshopify.com domain and app session/billing state) required to run the App.

Why we process it

To provide the App's core function (evaluating rules and applying tags), to operate billing, and to respond to your support requests. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

Configuration data is stored in a PostgreSQL database (Supabase). The App is hosted on Fly.io. Order and customer records are read on demand from Shopify and are not retained beyond what is needed to evaluate a rule, except for the tags written back into your Shopify store.

Data retention and deletion

We honor Shopify's mandatory data-protection webhooks:

customers/data_request — when a store customer requests their data, we surface the data the App holds about them (if any).
customers/redact — we delete App-held data about a specific customer.
shop/redact — 48 hours after a store uninstalls the App, we delete the store's configuration data.

You can also uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin, which revokes its access.

Third parties

The App relies on Shopify (platform), Fly.io (hosting), and Supabase (database). These providers process data only as needed to run the App.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise them, contact Mike@mollicasoftwaresolutions.com.
